MMAKS Advocates needed to simplify file retrieval across the firm. When documents live in many places, finding the right one becomes a daily tax on everyone. Xplo was built to make retrieval quick and predictable.
What we built
- A custom Android app for retrieving files on the move.
- A desktop application for the office.
- A shared retrieval model so both applications behave the same way.
- An interface designed for staff who need an answer in seconds, not a search tutorial.
How it works
The mobile and desktop applications were developed together as a pair. The desktop app handles day-to-day work in the office, while the Android app covers the same retrieval tasks away from a desk. Keeping both sides aligned was the core design constraint.
Outcome
A single, consistent way to retrieve firm files across devices, replacing ad-hoc searching with a purpose-built tool.
